Rights & Responsibilities
You are entitled to at least one set of keys to your rental property which you must return before the expiry of your tenancy. Failure to do so will mean that they are charged against your bond payment. It is illegal for you as tenant or for your landlord to change locks without giving a key to the other party. [ MORE ]

Turmoil amongst flatmates
While problems between flatmates are often quite easy to resolve initially, if the problems compound, it becomes more and more difficult. [ MORE ]

Signing on the dotted line
There are two types of tenancy agreements: fixed term and periodic tenancies. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN SIGNING A FIXED TERM AGREEMENT. Fixed term agreements last a specific amount of time, and you cannot break a fixed term agreement unless both parties agree to do so. [ MORE ]

MUSA Flats
MUSA own about 40 houses around Palmerston North which we let to students for pretty cheap. It is our hope that by doing this we will help to keep the market rate for rent low. MUSA has owned houses for many many years now and Palmerston North has the lowest rent of all the student citys in NZ. If you are interested in letting one of our houses contact our property Manager Megan Mcdonald at Property Brokers, 238 Broadway Avenue Palmerston North, Phone 06 355 5595.
